A Guruvayoor Wedding That Stayed with us Long After the Last Click.

Wedding Day - Blessed in Guruvayoor!

Some weddings echo long after the music fades. Archana & Manu’s was one of them.

The wedding day was totally special. It was at the Guruvayoor Temple, and the day began very early for us. There was a calm in the air — the kind that only comes before something life-changing.

Everything turned magical from the moment Manu chettan walked into her room and saw Archana in her wedding saree for the very first time.

A moment of everything first,

He held her hand and walked out —

only to be swamped by their closest friends and family waiting outside.

And even in that small crowd, I am sure he could only see her. The way he looked at her… that was enough to tell the whole story.

Walk to Temple

The short walk to the temple was filled with happiness and excitement. Their hands never let go, and their eyes were filled with the quiet thrill of new beginnings.

Thalikettu

At 5:30 am, by the sacred thread, in front of Guruvayoorappan, accompanied by the rhythm of kettimelam, they were no longer two — but one, for forever. Their friends and family cheered with tear-filled eyes.

The wedding was in 2023 — but I still remember the way they kept looking at each other, carrying those unstoppable smiles of joy and love.

I could not wait.My camera clicked.My flash blinked.Aha…

Frames of Forever

Then it was time for pictures. Family and friends gathered for once-in-a-lifetime memories. And within the Guruvayoor premises,

Then I got some truly beautiful frames of my couple.

They were a perfect pair . Both of them were literally glowing in each other’s love.

Their eyes held love, romance, trust, strength — and a quiet playfulness. They were effortless together. All I had to do was not interrupt the moment… and keep clicking.

Who knew I would be clicking my favouritest images, while they were creating their favourite lifetime memories?

They later changed into new outfits — Archana in a rich green and maroon saree — and we moved into a space decorated with simple elegance and taste. More memories followed with their family, friends, and cousins. Slowly, gently, we called the day to a close.

The Kozhikode Reception

A week later came Day 3 — their Kozhikode reception.

We clicked singles and couple portraits in the calm glow of the reception hall. Then we moved to groupies.

They looked just majestic in those black-on-black combinations.

More groupies followed.

After exactly 1,041 clicks, the time was 10:30 pm.The couple — as you can guess — were tired and famished.

But I was still hungry.

Not for food. The food was awesome.I was hungry for photographs.

Kozhikode Beach – Exhaustion, Silence & One Last Story

I insisted and brought them to Kozhikode beach. It was really late. It was my first time at Kozhikode beach at night, and somewhere inside me, I was expecting a miracle — a beach fest, festival-lit streets, a burst of life.

But there was nothing.

The streets were empty.Only a few cafes remained open.A few streetlights stood quietly. And the endless rushing of high-tide waves… that was all.

It shattered my expectations.

Yet Mr. & Mrs. Manu were calm. Steady. Fully with me.

I hid my disappointment behind professionalism, guided them into poses, and let their chemistry take over. We walked along the empty coastal stretch while I searched for frames where I could place my couple. And when I found them — we created some real gems.

By the time we wrapped up, it was close to 11.

We went our separate ways — exhausted, satisfied, and quietly grateful. Some stories do not end with noise. They end with waves, tired feet, and a full memory card.

Where It All Began

One day, out of the blue, just like any other work call, Archana had contacted me — through her cousin and my classmate, Ananthu. That single call gently led to everything you just read.

Their Kerala wedding celebration unfolded over three days —The first at her ancestral home in Palakkad for dakshina and blessings,The second at Guruvayoor for the wedding,And the third a week later at Kozhikode for the reception.

Her home at Palakkad was filled to the brim with emotions — hugs, laughter, quiet prayers, and familiar warmth. We ended that first day with some soft, gentle singles of Archana — peaceful, glowing, and ready for forever.
